Specialists' Curriculum

Context

There are approximately 150 students from S1-S6 who follow specialist programmes of study at Broughton High School in Dance, Football or Music. In keeping with the principles and values of Curriculum for Excellence, students study Level 3 and 4 experiences and outcomes across all the curricular areas. In order to provide the time to allow for a specialist curriculum however, students are extracted from some classes. This predominantly affects years 1-3 of the broad, general education.
