Report on Argentine School Visit in January 2014

Earlier in the year, U16 students, some teachers and parents from the Barker College, Lamos de Zamora in the province of Buenos Aries in Argentina came to Broughton to give us a taste of their culture and to play our under 15 boys team in their first international football match.  Read all about it here

Students from Broughton volunteer to help clean up Edinburgh's waterways

Over 80 young people from 7 secondary schools have teamed up with the Waters of Leith Trust as volunteers, helping clean up Edinburgh’s popular 25 mile long waterway.  Read the full story here.

Recontres Theatrales

Broughton High School hosted the Recontres Theatrales, a French language drama competition today, with schools participating from Edinburgh, Fife and beyond.  Congratulations to the Broughton group - Iona Zajac, Ella Duffy, Isla Ratcliff, Alicja Jankowska and Mason Stade - who performed Kamelott and came third overall.

Scottish Youth Parliament Elections

This year the Scottish Youth Parliament Elections will be running between 1-14 March and so every young person in the school can vote in this by visiting the School Library over lunch time from this coming Monday 4 until Thursday 13 March. 

This vote is made available to each young person in Scotland and so you guys need to ensure that someone speaks on your behalf and knows what the issues relevant to you are!

Voice in a Million
