On Saturday June 16 and Sunday June 17, granton:hub will be taking part in The Power of Food Festival, a celebration of community food growing around Edinburgh and the amazing people who breathe life into local areas through urban gardening projects.
Saturday’s highlights will include an Iron Age food workshop with the School of Ancient Crafts and music in the garden from Bows & Bridges.
Sunday’s programme includes a live puppetry show with Le Petit Monde, an interactive digital storytelling activity with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and live music with Cari-niteClass.
Refreshments will include home-made soup and freshly baked bread. Running from 12pm-3pm on both days, entry to the festival is free.
As well as being a great free family day out, we hope the Power of Food Festival will be a fun and valuable opportunity for children to learn about community food growing.
