Broughton High School enrolment procedures are in line with City of Edinburgh Council’s guidelines. All applications for a place at Broughton will be treated openly and equitably.
Please note: Scottish Government guidelines state that enrolment requests should be processed with two months of the initial completed application being received. Broughton High School will process all requests in line with this guidance.
Parents / carers enquiring, whether in person, by phone or by email about enrolling their child at Broughton High School in the first instance will receive an Application Pack from the school office containing:
- Application Form
- Details of the enrolment procedure
Alternatively, all the information, along with a downloadable application form, is available below.
The enrolment will not be progressed until a completed application form is received by the school. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources available to allow us to meet with all potential new students/ parents/ carers prior to the enrolment process commencing. Meetings will be arranged once a completed application form is received. Following the submission of your completed application please allow time for this to happen. (Scottish Government guidelines state that enrolment requests should be processed within 2 months of the completed application being received and we will endeavour to comply with this guidance).
On receipt of your completed application form it will be logged by the office and passed to the relevant DHT to make contact with you. Please do not ‘cold call’ and expect to be seen immediately. All applications will be dealt with in strict ‘date received’ order.
We have a very informative school website from where you can download our school handbook. Please visit: www.broughton.edin.sch.uk, select ‘our school’ followed by ‘publications’.
You can apply for a place at Broughton High School using this Application form. Please complete and return the form to the School Office. Further information on the application process is as follows:
