See extract of letter recently received from a local resident about some of our pupils:
"Dear Mr Wilson
I was in Waitrose the other day and my heart sank when I saw crowds of Broughton pupils coming in. To my surprise and delight I was overwhelmed by their politeness. One boy in a blazer walked in front of me and turned and apologised. Another asked me to go ahead of him in the queue. He ended up at another queue unbeknownst to me and I turned to him to say thank you and found someone else. I explained what had happened and she too said how polite the pupils were. I saw the young man a few minutes later and thanked him - to his great embarrassment!
I am a retired teacher and so am conscious of how pupils behave in public. I was certainly Impressed by the behaviour of your pupils that day."
