Broughton's Strictly Come Dancing Event

The Broughton High School Strictly Come Dancing event is taking place in the Assembly Hall on Wednesday 19 December from 7-9pm.  Parents, pupils and staff welcome to attend.  Further information on tickets is coming soon.

 

Free Financial Advice Drop In Sessions

Children 1st are offering Granton-based families the opportunity to go along to Royston Wardieburn Community Centre for free, confidential and practical advice on all manner of money matters. The Children 1st adviser may be able to help you maximise your household income or deal with debt or arrears. The drop-ins are in room F42 on Monday 12, 19 and 26 November between 9am and 2pm.

Edinburgh College Open Days

Anyone interested in starting a course at Edinburgh College in 2019,  can go along to their campus open days in November and December to meet with staff and find the right course.

Lunch and After School Sports Membership

Broughton High School run an After School Sports Membership Programme to encourage our pupils to be active out of PE. The membership costs £20 for the full year and means your child can attend any of the after school/lunchtime clubs. If your child receives Free School Meals, they can get a membership for free. Letter from John Swinney MSP

John Swinney, MSP, sent a letter of thanks to John Wilson, Headteacher followng a joint Scottish Education Council and International Council of Education Advisers meeting last month.

Success for former Music School student

Good news for former Broughton High School/City of Edinburgh Music School student, Oscar Gormley.  He graduated in July at the Royal Academy with a First Class degree in historical performance.   Further information is available here.
