Nationwide Scheme Tackles Classroom Prejudice and Discrimination

A nationwide scheme has been launched to tackle prejudice and discrimination in Scotland’s classrooms.

The ‘Inclusion and Diversity Charter Mark’ will recognise the efforts of schools in promoting inclusion and diversity, placing pupil-to-pupil learning at the heart of the project.

The scheme has been developed by young women and will be piloted in Edinburgh and rolled out across the country.

School App Launch

We are launching our new school App (Suitable for Android and Apple devices).  

Communication between school and home is very important to us. Our new App will provide a quick and easy way to access term time dates and events, receive notifications about these important events and will be another place where you can find useful information about the school.

Climate Change Day of Action

At Education, Children and Families Committee today a motion was passed to allow pupils who wish to participate in the Climate Change Day of Action on 15 March 2019 to be allowed to be absent on the following conditions:  any child wishing to attend the event outside the Scottish Parliament would only be marked as being an "authorised" absence if their parent /carer provides, in advance, written permission taking full responsibility for their child during their absence from school for that specific event.

 

S4 Parents' Evening

Reminder there is an S4 Parents' Evening on Tuesday 12 March from 4.30 - 6.30pm.

Survey for S6 Baccalaureate Student
