Broughton students who organised the Amnesty International Ceilidh in school last week were praised for their efforts ... see extract of letter sent to the Headteacher below:
"Dear Mr Wilson,
I'd just like to congratulate the senior students who organised the Amnesty International ceilidh held last week. Every single part of the event was organised by students - from the great ceilidh music to the wonderful home baking. Everything ran very smoothly and the event was very well attended. I'm sure we've all been to many adult-run events that have been much less successful. They must have raised a lot of money for a good cause as well as raising the consciousness of all in attendance in the week both of Nelson Mandela's passing and International Human Rights Day."
Well done to all involved - they raised just under £500!
