S5 student, Rocco Sener, along with 4 other competitors from his club, travelled to Trier, Germany to compete at the 2025 World Kickboxing & Karate Union World Championships, united as part of the newly formed WKU Scotland National team.

Over the first two days of fighting, he secured himself a spot in the finals of all three of his categories.  After 9 hard bouts against opponents from 5 different countries, alongside coaching and supporting the rest of his team over the course of four long days, he managed to return home to Edinburgh as the World Champion in Low-kick style fighting, with Silvers in Continuous Fighting and Point-Fighting.

This marks the third consecutive year where he has won Gold at the World Championships, a testament to all the time, effort and dedication he has given to the sport throughout his kickboxing career.  His sights are already set on the future, and Rocco is looking forward to once again representing Scotland at the 2026 WKU World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
