NeuroSpicy: For any young person (12-18 years) with neurodivergence (autism and adhd), diagnosed or self-diagnosed, NeuroSpicy helps you explore and connect with nature and your own creativity.
The aim of the NeuroSpicy programme is to create a safe and welcoming space where young people can feel they don’t need to mask and can be comfortable acknowledging their neurodivergence.
All sessions involve meeting at the Green Team HQ at The Risk Factory on New Mart Road at 11am, unless otherwise specified. You then travel to Bawsinch Nature Reserve, Duddingston, and return to Green Team HQ at 3pm.
The programme is limited to 6 participants and the sessions run on a Sunday, usually once a month. Full details of the project will be sent the week before.

Instructions
Cost of the day is £16, or £4 for low waged households. Please choose the option that is most appropriate for your financial situation. Free places are available; please email penny.radway@greenteam.org.uk for more information.
Participants should bring warm and waterproof clothing, a packed lunch and water.
Refund policy: If cancelling a place, this must be done via the booking system (or by email) 7 days before the event date in order to receive a full refund (less payment processing fees). It is possible to transfer a ticket via the booking system to another date at any time.
If all goes well and the young people wish to continue with the project, the Green Team aim to run them on the last Sunday of every month, 11-3pm, and most likely at the same place – Bawsinch Nature Reserve.
We have a few spaces still available for Sunday’s session. To give you, or the people you work with, an idea of what to expect, this is the breakdown of how the session will run:
1100: Leave Risk Factory
1130: Arrive/meet at Bawsinch Nature Reserve.
Introductions, plan of the day and optional snack.
Games and firelighting with s’mores.
1230: Lunch, and hot drink (optional).
1300: Sensory Activity: Sanding wood to make it smooth.
Nature Art: Making journey sticks.
Hammocks and chill in the Pine Woodland.
1410: Pack up and review of the day.
1430: Pick up from/leave Bawsinch Nature Reserve.
1500: Arrive at Risk Factory.
