Results day is here. For many, it is a day of celebration but for some young people, the results may not be what they were expecting. With that in mind, we thought it would be useful to share some information regarding supports available. Please find a summary below:
Skills Development Scotland (SDS)
In the first instance, the SDS Results Helpline is there to offer information, advice and guidance to young people and their parents and carers. The number is 0808 100 8000.
The full opening times are:
- Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 August,
- 8am to 8pm Thursday 8 and Friday 9 August, 9am to 5pm.
SDS’s expert advisers will be at the end of the phone to help young people and their parents and carers. They will have access to information on course vacancies at colleges and universities, Confirmation and Clearing, Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships, jobs, volunteering, or staying on at school.

LEAPS Results Day Helpline
LEAPS-eligible students, if you need any advice after you receive your exam results in August the LEAPS team is there to support you.
They can help you with your next steps, including looking at courses available in Clearing, college options, and (if you are moving into S6) looking at subjects you might need to take in S6 if you are aiming for a particular university course.

In School Re-Coursing
If you need to change course then your Guidance teacher is the first person to speak to.
