Scottish FA Football Performance School
Broughton High School is proud to be one of seven Scottish FA Performance Schools in Scotland.
As part of The Scottish FA’s £15m Performance Strategy, seven schools throughout the country were selected in 2012 to house the cream of Scotland’s talented young footballers. The other schools are St John’s RC High School (Dundee), Hazlehead Academy (Aberdeen), Graeme High School (Falkirk), Holyrood Secondary (Glasgow), Grange Academy (Kilmarnock) and Braidhurst High School (Motherwell). Broughton High School is proud to be one of seven Scottish FA Performance Schools in Scotland. The Broughton HS students who have participated in the programme have benefited immensely as footballers and in their development as young adults. Their attendance, achievement and attainment is above that of their age group in Edinburgh and across the country. Many are now representing Scotland in their respective age groups and significant numbers have signed contracts with professional clubs.
We work closely with Keith Wright, our Head Scottish FA coach and the Scottish FA Performance Manager, Brian McLaughlin, to ensure this success.
